As part of its complete solution approach, GEM offers a choice of proven software packages from 3rd party developers. These packages help you take data from the field and quality control stage to map preparation and modeling / inversion.

Data Downloading

GEM provides a complementary version of GEMLinkW 4.0 - its Windows data transfer software - with each v7.0 instrument. The software can be downloaded from the web site, and offers customers an increase in data transfer efficiency to 115 kB and other benefits. To see more information on GEM software, click here.

Quality Control and Visualization

GEM launched a low-cost visualization package developed with Encom Technology Pty. Ltd. – a leading innovator in the development of specialist software tools for the geosciences.

The software, called GEM-VIS, provides an end-to-end suite of visualization capabilities for use in quality control in the field or analysis in the office.  GEM-VIS can be used to display:

• Survey paths
• Line profiles
• 2D Image maps
• Contours
• Stacked Profiles
• Text items (legends, notes, titles)
• Objects (Scalebars, North arrows)
• 3D Surfaces

Data Processing and Analysis

For users who required specialized geophysical processing capabilities, GEM offers the Geophysics application by Geosoft™. This version provides field geophysicists with the ability to process, filter, grid, and map data from geophysical surveys.

This application also enables you to apply lag, heading, and base station corrections to your data. Map-creation capabilities streamline presentation of processed data for interpretation. Other packages are also available. For more information, contact GEM.

Encom Profile Analyst provides geophysicists with the ability to process, filter, grid, and map data from magnetoemter surveys. you can see and compare all your line data, profiles, grids, modelling, images, maps and 3D visualisations in a single interactive interpretation environment.

A full range of analytical functions, effective presentation tools and powerful template capabilities help you to complete your expert analysis more quickly, comprehensively and effectively. Use Profile Analyst to: 

• Connect geophysical data, modelling, satellite imagery,

Encom pa Packages

You can choose between two licensed packages, PA Explorer and PA Professional.

Encom PA Explorer
Encom PA Explorer contains all visualization methods (in curve profiles, section profiles, 2D maps and 3D displays), data linking, import utilities and basic processing, conversion and most display utilities.

PA Professional
Encom PA Professional includes all modules available in PA Explorer plus a number of additional utilities for extending the interpretation functionality of Encom PA, such as digitising features in 1D, 2D and 3D.

Expert Magnetic Modeling

QuickMag is a revolutionary new magnetic modelling package from Encom Technology. Based on three years of expert systems research, QuickMag creates accurate, reliable magnetic models, in less time and with less effort than ever before.
