Ground Geophysical
Solutions
From developing
new survey techniques (such as the walking mag) to integration of
GPS technologies, GEM has a long and continuing reputation as a
pioneer in ground geophysics.
Overall product quality is another reason that the company has obtained
a proven reputation and market leadership around the world.
Overhauser - High
Sensitivity and Low Power Consumption
Overhauser magnetometers
use electron-proton coupling to produce an order-of-magnitude stronger
precession signals than conventional proton precession magnetometers.
This results in improved signal-to-noise ratio. GEM's GSM-19 --
the only commercial Overhauser system - has a sensitivity of 0.015
nT. This exceeds the sensitivity of more expensive and costlier
to operate Cesium systems.
Our customers
also like its robustness, low power consumption and suitability
for a wide range of applications (i.e. mineral exploration; environmental
& engineering; UXO; geological mapping; academic and teaching;
and other roles). To download a brochure, click

Core and 3rd Party
Software
Gem's robust
GEMLinkW data transfer software is supplied with each v6.0 instrument
and for free download. The latest edition enables users to reduce
field and base station data (GEM, Geometrics, Scintrex) from a central
computer without connecting units. Or, upgrade your mag via the
Internet so that you can obtain the latest features from wherever
you are around the world. For details, click
here.

GEM is also
pleased to provide an end-to-end suite of quality control, visualization,
processing, interpretation and modeling software from leading 3rd
party developers. For details, click

QuickTracker Proton
Precession - Sensitivity and Affordability
Customer experiences,
particularly in universities and smaller organizations, indicate
that there is still a role for the conventional proton precession
magnetometer.

Gem's GSM-19T
system was recently upgraded to v6.0 - delivering all of the latest
technology features included in the Overhauser and SuperSenser mag
/ grad units. For more information on the upgrades, click
here.
In comparison
with other proton precession units, QuickTracker provides greater
sensitivity (<0.1 NT) at a lower price - combined with the reliability
and proven reputation of one of the industry's leaders in magnetic
technology. To download a brochure, click

SuperSenser Potassium
- Very High Sensitivity and Sampling
The SuperSenser
magnetometer / gradiometer is the sensible choice for very high
sensitivity archeological, UXO and near surface applications. With
a sensitivity of 0.002 nT @ 20 samples per second, Potassium exceeds
Cesium specifications by 10 times or more. As the highest sampling
system available, it is also ideal for vehicular applications.
This magnetometer
takes advantage of the unique properties of Potassium, delivering
negligible heading errors and high absolute accuracy. The
GSMP-40 system does not require regular calibration, thus avoiding
the costly maintenance of cesium systems.
Note that the
GSMP-40 is a new version of GEM's leading Potassium technology.
