GEM offers the longest warranty in the geophysical instrumentation industry as a demonstration of its confidence in the quality of its products. All GEM products are waranteed to the original purchaser against defective parts and workmanship for two (2) years from the date of original shipping.
NOTE: Please fill out the warranty card below submit it electronically within twenty-one (21) days from the date of shipping. Failure to do so will void the warranty.
This warranty is valid under the following conditions:
a) The purchaser does not make any additions, modifications or changes to the product.
b) The purchaser does not damage the equipment by abuse, misapplication, or mishandling.
c) Batteries (and any light bulbs) are exempted from replacement as these are prone to wear and tear, and GEM cannot ensure their quality of manufacture and / or lifetime.
This warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product at the discretion of the manufacturer. It does not cover personal injury, property loss, or damage (direct, incidental or consequential) arising out of use of any GEM product under warranty.
A proof of purchase from an authorized dealer must be provided when making a warranty claim. Upon discovery of a defect, the product should be sent pre-paid to:
Items should be shipped with all components in the original packaging. Note that GEM will not be liable or accept any liabilities for any loss or damage to additional items that are shipped with the returned product. The purchaser is responsible for return freight charges.
If the product is not covered under the terms of this warranty, GEM will advise you of the costs to carry out any repairs necessary and the unit will be shipped to you on receipt of payment for the work including the return freight charges.
